A decent choice for budget travelers

The location was really good, right off the freeway, made it easy to get out to all the sights. The breakfast was surprisingly nice, I mean, I enjoyed bringing a tray back to the room with a variety of options, like it was a little taste of luxury.

It wasn’t exactly cheap, but considering the amenities, it was still alright.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Spanish-Mission inspired architecture. it provided a charming and welcoming atmosphere. The walkways were spacious and easy to navigate, making it convenient for seniors like me to explore the lovely areas surrounding the hotel.

I had a great time at the hotel with my family! The breakfast spread was incredible, especially the hot waffles, and the clean, spacious queen room was a pleasant surprise. However, the photos made the place look better than it actually was, but I’d still return for the wonderful breakfast!

The location was perfect—just a short walk to the beach and near great local eateries. The pool area was nice and clean. we really enjoyed it during our downtime.

The room was okay for a short stay. The fridge didn’t work at first, and we had to move. And yikes, the floors were super dirty. I definitely suggest wearing slippers. It’s solid for the price and location, but definitely not the fanciest. Just enough for sleeping and showering, I guess.

great proximity to mission bay park and sea world

I loved that we were just a 500-meter stroll to Mission Bay Park, making it so easy to enjoy the water views, and SeaWorld San Diego was almost 3.5 km away, perfect for a fun-filled day of exploring. this central location really made our weekend adventure delightful.

Convenient and Comfortable Stay

We enjoyed our spacious room and appreciated the variety at breakfast. The early check-in was a nice touch! Note to future guests, make sure to ask about housekeeping services to ensure your room is attended to during your stay.

Decent location that makes for easy drives to multiple attractions like La Jolla and Downtown. The breakfast spread is noteworthy, along with clean, well-maintained rooms equipped enough for comfort on a budget.

A noticeable musty smell in the room detracts from the overall experience, which might not suit everyone. The shower setup lacks a grab bar, which I think is essential for safe maneuverability, especially for seniors. Carpet cleanliness could be improved, giving the place a dated feel despite the efforts.

Unsavory characters and sullied rooms

Checked in late and it was chaos! Had a shirtless dude yelling outside my room. Everyone was just shouting, and it felt super sketchy. My room was a mess too, nasty stains on the carpet and a broken sink handle. On the bright side, the free breakfast was decent, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The room quality was disappointing with noticeable dirtiness, and the external noise made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. Additionally, the jacuzzi was out of order and there seemed to be no immediate plans to repair it. The front desk staff showed little concern when I reported these issues, and my request for compensation was directed to an external agency, adding to the frustration of my stay.
